INRODUCTION
In the art of colonialism, I would like

art perspective to create the
narrative sosio-economy fisherman. In addition, in the art of colonialism, I
also highlight some areas that have long been operating fishing activities and
today are different from the past. In
my work, I also examine the old town area, which is the place or village that
used to make Kuala Rompin remain active in fishing activities.
Based on the research that I have
research Kuala Rompin mostly have the history in terms of architectural
history, economic activity and many more. The selection of my idea is based on
the history of Kuala Rompin Jeti and the
old town which used to be active with social economy activities, especially in
fishing villages. and also now still operating but to different places for
example in Pontian, Kuala Rompin. The
description for my work is also showing some action activities with social

STYLE AND HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Naive art can easily be dismissed as
art created by people who “don’t know what they’re doing”, but that undermines
the raw creativity found in the works of movement and its unbridled and
instinctive approach to material, composition and ideas.
Before the 20th century, in its most
basic sense, naive art was a form of visual art created by someone who had no
formal education and training that a professional artist underwent. When
trained artists imitate this aesthetic, it is often referred to as primitivism,
pseudo-naive art or fave naive art.
The approach chosen is not only focused on that but also added to show modern art between naive art and contemporary art. Looking at this trend, I am drawn to the depiction of paintings that are not properly drawn according to the theory and understanding of art itself because this visual naive art itself can also be used to explain the situation itself.

In conclusion, this study is about the art of colonialism through naive art style and contemporary art. Based on the study made that the colonial influence in the art has an impact to this day that is in terms of the lives of the ancients until now still maintain the culture, and traditional ways for fishermen. Even so, it is different due to the sophistication of today's technological tools but there are some fishermen who prefer the traditional way. Thus, this provides a different narrative of the past and present that impacts present -day life. This provides an understanding in terms of colonialism art
